Painting with enamels is a new area of interest for me. Since I was a painter before a potter, painting on my pots would logically be the next evolution. I made the platter pictured on the right with this in mind. The colors intensified in the firing and some detail was lost. Hopefully simplifying the paintings will eliminate this plus give more room for the viewer to bring their imagination into the work.
This platter is the only example of my enameling on this site.
